Epson launched a new multimedia projector – EB-1985WU. In addition to 3LCD technology to enhance projection quality, EB-1985WU incorporated different functions to enhance better usage of the projector.

High Brightness
Supporting 1,920x1,200 resolution, the brightness of EB-1985WU reaches 4,800lumens with its compact size. It delivers bright and true-to-life color to audiences without the need to dim the light. Epson used “color light output” to evaluate the brightness of the projector. Wide-Ranging Connectivity
EB-1985WU can be connected to a variety of devices thanks to support for two HDMI inputs in addition to conventional analog input. One HDMI supports MHL, allowing mirroring with Android devices and the like. Furthermore, EB-1985WU supports IntelRWiDI/Wi-Fi Certified Miracast Technology, which allows easy transmission of full HD (1080P) video and sounds from PCs, smartphones etc.

EB-1985WU supports Epson “iProjection”, which is an free application for transferring images and files on smart devices to Epson networking projectors*。Furthermore, EB-1985WU supports Split Screen and PC free. Split Screen function allows inputs from two separate sources to be displayed side by side on the same screen, while PC Free function allows JPEG, PDF, GIF, PNG, BMP, Motion JPEG and FS files from USB memory device to be projected on the screen.

With Epson “EasyMP Multi PC Projection” freeware, EB-1985WU can be used for interactive meetings. Up to 50 computers can connect to one projector on a network, with screens from any four computers being projected at a time.

Easy Installation and Setting
The weight of EB-1985WU is just 4.6kg and it starts automatically when a signal from the computer is received with the Auto Power On feature. EB-1985WU also provides Vertical and Horizontal Keystone Correction. Thus, it is not necessary to put the projector in the center of the desk. In cases where the image extends beyond the frame of the screen or whiteboard, the users just have to push the Screen Fit button and the image frame automatically matches up with the edges of the screen. The focus of EB-1985WU can be adjusted easily by a looking at the figure and bar gauge displayed on the screen with the Focus Help function.

Advanced Monitoring & Control Function
With EasyMP Monitor, Epson’s Network monitoring and control software, a single PC can see which projectors are available and if they are running efficiently, even across the biggest networks. In addition, Schedule Function allows the projector to run programs as scheduled with a built-in clock, even without a PC. Up to 30 programs can be registered.

Easy Maintenance and Upgrade
The long 4000hours (Eco mode) lamp life saves time and money by reducing the frequency of closely lamp replacements; while the maintenance cycle of the Cleanable Filter is 5000hours. Firmware upgrades can now be done on site by simply inserting a USB memory stick with the necessary update.
